One of our goals at Set Apart Ministries is to teach and encourage maturity among believers. We have used the basic study provided by James E. Wilder, PhD, pastor and psychologist, entitled "Living from the Heart Jesus Gave You" from the first establishment of Set Apart Ministires. It is the only comprehensive study we are aware of that incorporates awareness of Biblical principles with understanding of how our mind, will and emotions (our soul) develop.  It identifies the optimum design of our Creator as well as identifying how it looks when people have not developed their age appropriate mature behavior. The study includes recommendations for how an assembly can come along side people who have yet to experience love and care in a manner than helps THEM address anything they missed along the way.

The primary material can be presented in a fairly brief way but the application of it has depth and insight that takes time to develop and incorporate into our lifestyles and behavior. This series was developed as an elder looking at the needs of an assembly, much as a parent looks at the needs of their children. It progresses from a simple, really funny, example of how someone in each stage of maturity might respond to multiple and more challenging situations that we have experienced in the course of our two decades of being an assembly.

It was originally used as a tool to discuss these situations in our own assembly, and review how well we were handling them. It is added here as a possible conversation starter for others who are also pursuing the desire to mature and grow up in every way into Messiah Who is our Head!
